ABOUT EMMA

EMMA GRAY is a freelance journalist focused on the intersection of gender, culture and politics, an MSNBC columnist, and the author “A Girl's Guide To Joining The Resistance,” a primer on young women and activism. She is also the co-host of the Webby Award-nominated podcast, “Here To Make Friends,” and co-authors the newsletter Rich Text with Claire Fallon. She spent the last 10 years as a senior reporter and editor at HuffPost .

Emma has appeared as an expert on the Today Show, Good Morning America, MSNBC, Entertainment Tonight, NPR, WNYC and WBUR.

She has spoken at SXSW, Own It and the Lady Project Summit, and moderated numerous panels. Her work has appeared in HuffPost, Cosmopolitan, Nylon and Teen Vogue.

Emma is based in Brooklyn, and is an alum of McGill University in Montreal, which is probably why she has such a soft spot for poutine and St. Viateur bagels.
